Ehsaas is a flagship social protection and poverty alleviation program initiated by the Government of Pakistan. Launched in March 2019, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Ehsaas aims to uplift the underprivileged and marginalized segments of society by providing them with financial assistance, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
The program operates on a multi-dimensional approach, focusing on four key pillars: addressing elite capture and making government systems and programs work to create equality; safety nets for disadvantaged segments of the population; jobs and livelihoods; and human capital development
Ehsaas endeavors to empower the poor by providing them with financial aid through cash transfer programs, scholarships, interest-free loans, and skills training initiatives. To register for the Ehsaas program and check your eligibility online, follow these steps:
- Check your eligibility:
- Type your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) in a text message.
- Send it to 8171.
- Receive eligibility status:
- You will receive a message indicating the eligibility status for your family.
- Visit the nearest Ahsaas center:
- Once eligible, visit the nearest Ahsaas center for registration.
- Receive Ehsaas cash:
- After registration, you will receive your Ehsaas cash either in your bank account or from the BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme) center.
